My career began when I enrolled myself on to the Lubna Rafiq Bridal Academy training course in 2010. Immediately upon completion I started working as a part time make-up artist at a newly established London based modelling agency. Spending almost 2 years working alongside a number of talented amateur and experienced models, stylists and photographers allowed me to develop my artistry skills and kick-start what has now proven to be a fulfilling and successful career as a professional hairstylist and make-up artist.
In recent years, not only have I had the privilege of travelling abroad with my photographer husband for destination bridal appointments but I have also worked as the head hairstylist and make-up artist for over 3 years on the globally established channel Zee TV.
I have participated on several catalogue shoots (Incl Jigsaw Kids and Pritch London), catwalk productions, charity events and commercial projects (Incl Converse and Eylure) and have numerous bridal and fashion magazine features under my belt including publications in Asian Bride, Elléments and Institute Magazine.
I am currently appointed as a freelance make-up artist for Charlotte Tilbury and Stila Cosmetics. And have previously worked with Vo5, Tresemme and Toni & Guy for in-store and media events including the NME Awards.
Each year I dedicate time to attend new development courses and refresher masterclasses to help further improve my skills and finesse my creative talent. This helps ensure I offer each of my brides and clients an unforgettable and personally tailored experience for a day considered their own.
